The Dearmans were high school sweethearts at Mountain View High School. Dearman is retired from Siemans where he worked as a communication technician. Dearman is retired from American Drew Inc., where she worked in the accounting department for 43 years. Freeman Wagoner is the son of the late Earnest and Fannie Wagoner. They also have six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was a longtime employee of Lowe’s Hardware and retired as a delivery manager with over 25 years of service in the mid-1990s. Clonch held various jobs in banking, was a supervisor at Lowe’s offices, and owned her own doughnut shop for a short time with her sister, Margie Wray.
The couple has resided on Thomas Street in North Wilkesboro since the day they were married in 1957.
